Feeding Your Mind, Body & Spirit is a continuous, daily, never ending journey…
For the past several years I’ve been obsessed with gaining inner peace, clarity, self-awareness and creating a meaningful, wholehearted life. That said, this site was created to share inspiration, resources and wisdom that I find along the way that have helped me overcome a variety of challenges; depression, poor self-image, lack of confidence, a mountain of debt due to poor choices, and the despair associated with all of it.
I invite you to join the journey with me and create your meaningful, wholehearted, life story.
Meaningful: full of meaning, significance, purpose, or value
Wholehearted: completely sincere, enthusiastic, energetic, hearty
Hi there, I’m Wendy
Here’s a little bit about me…
I’m a recovering perfectionist and spend-a-holic, who was often snarky and negative. Thankfully, I’m no longer a binge spender and am finally debt free. I’d love to say that I’m never snarky or negative but frankly I’m still a work in progress 😉
Wife to a kind, loving and supportive husband, mother to 3+3 wonderful kids, and Mimi (not my chosen title…thanks RJ!) to 8 awesome grand-kids who are a constant source of joy and happiness. I am SO blessed!
I’m interested in personal/spiritual growth, being healthy, staying young forever (at least at heart!) and continuously learning new things that will help me grow and improve in all areas of my life so that I can contribute more to others because…
Life is about ‘WE’ not ‘ME’
My goal and passion is becoming the person God created me to be, to show up as my best self every day and having my family know that they are the most important people in the world to me.
Commitment to Personal/Spiritual Growth:
For most of my adult life I’ve been intrigued and curious about human development/growth and what makes us tick. Why do some people succeed and others seem to struggle just to get by? Why are some so positive and full of life while others see life as a constant struggle?
I’m fascinated with the study of neuroscience and the power of the mind. I’m never bored with learning more about how we can use and apply that information to improve the quality of our lives.
I love quotes! Here are some that I think about often…
Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
You have to get your inner game right because you can’t inspire anyone else if your well is empty. Robin Sharma
Men are anxious to improve their circumstances but are unwilling to improve themselves. Earl Nightingale
The more you demand of yourself the more you will grow. Tony Robbins
Beware of what you become in pursuit of what you want. Be a student not a follower. Jim Rohn
What you get never makes you happy long term–who you become makes you very happy or very sad. Tony Robbins
Hobbies and Interests:
Hanging out with my awesome grand-kids, family and friends, fashion, funny movies, reading, spending time by the water/beach, being outside in nature, thought provoking conversations.
Creating a Meaningful, Wholehearted & Vibrant Life:
Creating a meaningful, wholehearted & vibrant life sounds great, but it doesn’t just happen overnight. It’s possible for EVERYONE but it takes time, a burning desire, focus and disciplined action. I believe that Feeding your Mind, Body & Spirit is a key factor for success.
I wish I could say that I’m completely happy with my life story. I’m not…it’s definitely a work in progress so I’ll continue creating, tweaking and re-writing until it’s a story that I’m content with.
My personal challenge…
“Be bold enough to use your voice, brave enough to listen to your heart and strong enough to live the life you imagine” Unknown
Cheers to creating YOUR best life!
Wendy
