Mimi’s Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies are buttery, chocolate, nutty goodness, that make your taste buds beg for more. ๐
My daughter has a gluten intolerance that often causes painful swelling and welts on her body if she eats something containing gluten. That means she either brings her own food to family events or we learn to cook without using ingredients containing gluten.
For the most part it’s been relatively easy to make our family favorites gluten free but when it comes to baked goods I’ve struggled with that…they rarely taste as good in my humble opinion. I’ve tried many different Gluten Free flours and combinations and have not been able to master baked goods that taste as good as they do using non-gluten free flour. That said, in the past I would usually opt for making gluten free cookies for her and non-gluten free cookies for the rest of us.
Success!
After much trial and error I am very happy to have finally succeeded in creating a chocolate chip cookie recipe that my family loves and doesn’t taste like it’s Gluten Free.
One of my grand-daughters that typically doesn’t like Chocolate Chip Cookies asked if we could bake some the last time she had a sleep-over.ย I said, I thought you didn’t like Chocolate Chip Cookies!ย She said “I didn’t but I do now”
LOL….my husband likes them so much he said that I should sell the recipe…not give it away!
The downside of Mimi’s Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe is that it’s not a good option for people with nut allergies because of the Almond Flour.
